Your assignment

Reporting to the President, the VP of Finance is a key contributor to the long-term financial health and operational success of the company—overseeing financial planning, capital allocation, and fiscal reporting across our business and the CAMO, STINGER, and PRO-FIT brands. This role balances high-level strategic planning with performance analysis and team leadership to ensure the business remains profitable and aligned with our long-term growth targets.

With a strong emphasis on financial strategy, the VP of Finance plays a pivotal role in turning business objectives into sustainable, scalable results. As a senior member of the executive team, the VP also provides insight into market trends and internal metrics, fostering a data-driven culture that supports our growth.

Essential duties:

  • Partners with the President and board to lead the development of the company’s long-term financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and growth targets.
  • Oversee the entire budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with departments heads to establish, manage, and monitor operational and capital budgets.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, modeling, and scenario planning to evaluate potential investments, cost-saving initiatives, and business opportunities (e.g., new markets, M&A).
  • Provide executive-level guidance on pricing, resource allocation, and major strategic business decisions.
  • Develop a relationship and understanding of customers while working with sales leadership to translate growth objectives into revenue, margin, and pricing models and targets by channel and segment.
  • Ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Direct all aspects of the accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the month-end / year-end close processes.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation to optimize working capital and support continuous operations.
  • Utilize AI tools and other automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness of analysis and administration of tasks.
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance efforts for all federal, state, and international regulatory matters.
  • Understand business and product cost structures and recommend changes to optimize financial performance.
  • Develop dashboards and KPI’s for key financial and business level metrics enabling data driven decisions ensuring business and customer success.
  • Manage key relationships with ESOP advisors, banks, corporate insurance providers, and auditors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance, accounting, and analytics team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and implement efficient financial systems, technologies, and internal controls to scale with the company’s growth.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, currency risk, and operational risk.
  • Ensure the company maintains robust internal controls and adheres to all financial regulations and governance policies.
  • Manage the company’s insurance portfolio and risk mitigation programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance with diverse responsibility, ideally in multiple financial areas including accounting, finance, and FP&A.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within finance.
  • Customer / commercial financial experience supporting brands and / or key customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred.
