Your assignment

As a Systems Support Specialist, you will play a crucial part in managing and maintaining our computer systems, networks, servers, and cybersecurity. This collaborative position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage the expertise of our internal team and Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners while providing exceptional technical support and solutions to our employee-owners.

  • Support the team in providing technical support and training to our teams, addressing their IT-related inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various environments to ensure system integrity and data confidentiality.
  • Administer computer deployment and upgrades, while maintaining printers, scanners, and WIFI devices.
  • Coordinate with our MSP partner the installation, configuration, documentation, and maintenance of operating systems, servers, and software applications.
  • Review system backup procedure and assist in implementing effective disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity for our clients.
  • Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures to support effective knowledge sharing and streamlined operations.

Requirements include:

  • Align with our purpose, 8 character traits, and cornerstones.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in computer support, help desk, or a similar role.
  • Previous work with Managed Service Providers preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Google administration, Adobe administration, and Office 365.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems and other peripheral devices is preferred.
  • Experience with network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall configurations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability in regard to proactive process and results improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail, while still working under deadlines.
  • High level of passion, collaboration, and dedication to your area of expertise.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, MSP partners, team members, and end-users.
  • Strong organizational and self-directing skills.
